Local meal at the guide's house, discovery of the vineyards and wine tasting

Learn to cook the emblematic meals of the Savoy vineyards with the guide: The Diots (local sausage) cooked on vines branches or the Fondue Savoyarde. Savoy is a blessed country for gastronomy. It’s natural environment and its agriculture allow the harvest and production of an incomparable panel of foods of very high quality (fish from lakes and torrents, fruits and vegetables, wild berries, mushrooms, milk and cheeses, meats and cold cuts, pastries ...). Savoy specialties are thus numerous and tasty.


Duration : 1/2 day.

Participants: As from only one person to 8 people. In English.

Description:
  • Discover the great local vineyards of Savoy by vehicle.
  • Wine tasting in the vineyards
  • Preparation of a local meal with explanations (The Diots or the Fondue Savoyarde)
  • Oenological aperitif accompanied by local cheeses
  • Local meal together with the guide (menu of your choice below) (terrace, lawn trees and hammock in summer, fire place in winter)

Choice of menu:
  • The Diots cooked on vine branches: local sausages steamed with wine on a bed of vine shoots and red grape marc, accompanied by potatoes, green salad, coffee, and local digestive.
  • La Fondue Savoyarde: traditional regional dish based with local cheeses and lovely local crusty bread, accompanied by local cold cuts, coffee, and local digestive.

Optional : tasting wine glass, additional crus during as an aperitif and/or during the meal, transportation from accomodation.
